Requirements
GET ENROLLED AT THE LOS ANGELES FILM SCHOOL
We accept students who are serious about pursuing a career in the world of entertainment media. They must show dedication and commitment to the art. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the school and discuss their personal, educational, and occupational goals with the Office of Admissions.
The Los Angeles Film School has an open enrollment policy, and start dates occur every four weeks. Enrollment is open to high school graduates who are seriously interested in the field of professional filmmaking, computer animation, or game production. No previous experience in these fields is required for admission.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FILM
To apply and be considered for enrollment to The Los Angeles Film School’s Associate of Science in Film Program, please submit the following:
• Fully completed application for enrollment
• $75 non-refundable application fee
• Official high school transcript (If a college degree was earned, an official transcript from the college or university where the degree was earned will be accepted in lieu of an official high school transcript.) Unofficial transcripts are not accepted.
Applicants must have a basic proficiency in the English language. The Los Angeles Film School does not offer English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR GAME PRODUCTION
Applicants for the Associate of Science in Game Production Degree Program should be comfortable using computers running the Microsoft Windows Operating System or an alternate OS such as Mac OSX.
Applicants must be fluent in spoken and written English. The ability to type will be beneficial, as will good interpersonal skills.
Finally, candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to work as an effective team member on highly collaborative game production projects.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPUTER ANIMATION
Applicants for the Associate of Science in Computer Animation Program should possess a foundation in basic artistic skills. Traditional art classes are recommended prior to entering the program. A foundation in sketching, sculpting, and painting is important for the animation industry and is essential for developing the 3D artist.
To apply and be considered for enrollment into the Associate of Science in Computer Animation Program, please submit the following:
• Fully completed application for enrollment
• $75 non-refundable application fee
• Official high school transcript (If a college degree was earned, an official transcript from the college or university where the degree was earned will be accepted in lieu of an official high school transcript.) Unofficial transcripts are not accepted.
